Dr. Prashanth is a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon, holding fellowships for minimal access pediatric surgery at KEM, Mumbai, pediatric urology and robotic surgery at children’s hospital of Philadelphia, USA, and C.S. Mott’s Children’s hospital at the University of Michigan.
Currently providing his service at the Sit. H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai his 11-year career has seen him in esteemed positions both nationally as an assistant professor of pediatric surgery at KEM Hospital and Seth Gs Medical College in Mumbai, as well as internationally as a specialist pediatric surgeon at Al Wasl Hospital in Dubai, UAE.
His academic and clinical brilliance has been gloried by 14 national and international awards including a gold medal in General Surgery, Scholarship Award for Best Surgeon from BBRAUN Germany, and International Good Standing Certification in Pediatric Surgery by Dubai Health Authority.
He has also shared his wisdom through 33 national and international publications and 26 presentations.
Through all these academic achievements he remains a technically gifted brilliant surgeon, with a profound interest in minimal access thoracic and abdominal surgery and, robotic surgery allowing parents to choose a less painful and stressful treatment for their beloved child. He also specializes in reconstructive pediatric urology a rather common surgery faced by children as well as neonatal surgery and antenatal counseling so parents can rely on him to guide them through the difficult period they are to face in the future, and to successfully get through it with his help.
